AI Won't Replace You. The Coach Who Uses It Might.
Your clients run companies. Their companies already use AI.
McKinsey's 2026 State of AI survey found that nearly 9 in 10 organizations now use AI regularly in at least one part of the business. So your clients watch their own teams move faster all week... then wait until Thursday for Monday's session recap.
Here's the part most people miss. Only 6% of those organizations are "AI high performers," getting 5% or more of their profit from it.
Translation: almost everybody has AI. Very few have built their business on it. The coaches in that small group follow up faster and walk into every session better prepared. Clients notice.

"Won't AI Make My Coaching Feel Impersonal?"
Fair question. Short answer: no. Used right, it helps you manage your clients better.
AI never sits in the session. It can't read the room, and it will never tell a founder the thing their board is too polite to say. That's you. It stays you.
What AI takes is everything around the session. The scheduling back-and-forth. The prep you squeeze in from the parking lot. The recap you meant to send Monday. And the quiet worry about where the next client is coming from, the one that follows you into the room.
Clear that off your desk and you show up with more attention, not less.
I'll admit one thing. AI used carelessly sounds like a robot. So nothing reaches a client with your name on it until you've read it and approved it. You make the judgment calls. AI does the typing.
What AI Actually Does Inside a Coaching Practice
No bots in the session. Here's what changes on a normal Tuesday.
- Session prep in five minutes. Before every call you get a one-page brief: last session's notes, open commitments, and anything the client sent since. You walk in already ahead.
- Recaps go out the same day. Your notes become a clean summary and action list. You approve it, it goes out.
- Accountability between sessions. Check-ins on the commitments your client made, in your voice, so momentum doesn't die in the two weeks between calls.
- A pipeline that doesn't live in your head. Past prospects, referral partners, and alumni get followed up on a schedule. Each Monday you get a short list of who's warm.
- Content from what you already say. One talk or podcast becomes a month of LinkedIn posts and a newsletter, so people see your thinking without you writing all weekend. (Never built from client sessions.)
- Renewals that don't sneak up on you. 30 days before an engagement ends, you get a progress summary to anchor the renewal conversation.

I've Seen AI Used to Replace People. I Build It to Back Them Up.
I'm Antonio Thornton. Some people know me as The Profit Engineer.
I've been in direct response marketing since 1994 and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer since 1998. I've built 13 businesses across 19 industries, served more than 250,000 entrepreneurs, and helped generate over $113 million in client revenue.
I also once led an AI implementation that eliminated hundreds of call-center jobs. It did exactly what it was built to do. That's why I build AI differently now: to make good people more valuable, not unnecessary.
My rule is Fix the Foundation First. AI is an accelerant. Pour it on a messy practice and you get a faster mess. So we diagnose before we automate.
I say all that to say... you're the coach. AI is the back office.
Questions Executive Coaches Ask
What does this cost? The AI Audit and the guides are free. If you want a specialist to go deeper, there's a paid AI Executive Coach Readiness Assessment. Anything after that is your call.
My clients tell me things their board doesn't know. What about confidentiality? That's the first thing we look at. Some material should never touch AI. Some can be used once names are stripped out. Some tools are fine for scheduling and wrong for session notes. You'll know which is which before anything gets set up.
Do I have to tell clients I use AI? Your call. My recommendation is to tell them. You're using it to give them more of your attention, and that's an easy thing to say out loud. Either way, nothing client-facing goes out until you approve it.
I'm not technical. Is this going to turn into a project? You don't need to be technical. That part is our job. What we need from you is a clear picture of how your week runs, and the audit gets the first look in about 3 minutes.
I'm a solo coach. Isn't this overkill? Solo is where the busywork hurts most. Every admin hour comes straight out of coaching time or selling time, and there's nobody to hand it to. AI can be that somebody.
I already use ChatGPT. Isn't that enough? It's a start. But ChatGPT is the tip of the iceberg. Below the waterline is an AI Operating System: prep, recaps, follow-up, and renewals running every day while you stay the coach, the voice, and the face of the practice.
